Today was race was one of 'those days', those days that you always remember. The Stainton course was predominantly a grass course which had been used for a full day of racing yesterday for the local cx league. Today was the North of England Champs, and was it ever a worthy test. Bitterly cold north wind, snow showers and a total quagmire. We are not talking muddy, we're talking a race held at probably 9mph using the bottom three gears.
It's not often I've had get undressed in the garage and then jetwash my skinsuit, socks and helmet!
19th in my age group.....well pleased with that.
