Slip Sliding

What the hell do we pay £200 a month council tax for. The main road...unsalted, The A59, dodgy. I get the sneaking suspicion that the national debt is being recouped by the county highways people playing Russian roulette with our safety. I mean the frost last night wasn't unexpected.

More important, I had to modify my training route to avoid the worst of the frost. This is where I have to tell myself to grow up. The temptation was to do the full 90mins ride however the sensible option was to remain on the main roads and drown out the traffic noise with some Pete Tong. So 70mins, overgeared working on my power is how today panned out. Extra 20mins and run the risk of a broken hip.....I don't think so!

Whilst I am on, the most useful toy in the world is a MobiWasher V17. Check them out, the ultimate cycle care tool. Worth twice the price and you'll never want to be without. A self contained pressure washer. Powerful enough to mint a winter bike up after application of Muc Off, but not powerful enough to fuck up bearings. Top up with warm water, charge up and leave near a radiator whilst you train. A quick spray of Muc Off and blast off whilst the post session mug of tea brews.....and job done. Five mins tops.
